International Women’s Day 2026

Iran and Middle East in flames and genocide

International solidarity the only way out!

This year, 8th March, international women’s day is approaching at a time when Iran and the Middle East are under fire of bombardments and killings. US/Israel and their allies are burning Iran, Lebanon and the whole region.

The audacity and unapologetic policies, tactics and attacks on the people of Middle East by US/Israel/Western governments which started with the genocide in Gaza has no end.

People in Iran and specially women’s liberation movement have been fighting the Islamic Republic since 1979. Women have always undermined regime’s authority and are a pillar of the revolutionary movement in toppling the Islamic Republic. Now they are facing other murderous forces: US/West/Israel that support the Iranian right wing fascist opposition.

This year, people are forced to stay alive let alone celebrating any occasion in commemoration of 8th March.

More than any other time, this year Women’s liberation movement in Iran and the struggle of freedom loving people both in Iran and the region need international solidarity. The attacks by US/Israel on Iran is genocide and must be condemned. People and the Women’s Liberation movement in Iran are the genuine force to overthrow the Islamic Republic. Any foreign attack on Iran inhibits peoples’ struggle for a revolutionary struggle to topple the regime. The utopian claim that an attack on Iran brings “democracy” and “better situation” for the people of Iran is blatantly misleading and only serves to safeguard US/Israeli aims which is, divide and rule, suppression, and another 50 years of dictatorship. The other outrageous claim by US/Israel that their attack on Iran is supposed to free women is yet another shameful misleading jargon. How is killing of 165 school girls and staff in the town of Minab (south Iran) equates to “liberating” women? How does bombarding families in their homes mean “liberation”? Only pro war section of society buy these claims. People in Iran do not want war.

International Women’s Day, as the name suggests, needs international solidarity and action. United we are strong and can fight the evil that is running the world now.
